If You Must Fly With Children, Book In Economy Please!

So a Shake Baby game slipped through Apple’s App store net. Im a big Apple fan, not a baby fan at all, but even I think this is poor form. I’d tend to blame the app developer though for the poor taste, not Apple. It shits me when corporations end up being blamed for situations. Yes, Apple should have caught this, but when people are involved, judgements may not always be spot on when the general public get to evaluate that judgement.

Here in Australia there’s a debate going on whereby the government wants to filter our internet access, at the ISP. They will have a top secret list of sites that we will be prevented from accessing. This blacklist will be managed by ACMA, the Australian Communications & Media Authority, and they’ve already made several mistakes as evidenced by leaked copies of the list. Who gets the blame if a new site pops up and slips through the net, the ISP, the ACMA?There’s also the debate about illegal downloads, music, movies and the like, some debate over trying to blame and fine the ISP because their users downloaded something they shouldn’t have. One commentator said it’s like fining the electricity supplier for something illegal a subscriber did with the electricity. I’d agree with that, it’s stupid.

So don’t shit me by making out this is something bad Apple did, give the idiot that wrote the App a shake if you like, even rattle the Apple employee who didn’t reject it, but that’s it now, move on. NEXT!

Don.

PS – And if you are going to fly with a child, book in economy will you please, it shits me when I have to deal with your crying kid especially when I’m in Business or First Class.
