I’m glad you’re visiting and I appreciate your thoughtful and articulate comments. I also appreciate the angst and venom but I am also trying to promote courtesy and consideration, so I need to try and balance, but I fail from time to time. Yes Don,
Years ago in Sydney and Canberra,if you were on the mains water grid you were not permitted to have a water tank. Health concerns was the flimsy excuse of the day…suppose our illustrious masters weren’t to concerned with country folks health.
Anyway appreciate your site…great for venting, however i do get a little shitty when people post and its obvious that they aren’t really that shitty about their chosen topic. Posts should contain a certain amount of angst and/or venom . A combination of both would be ideal.

Is that true? Was it illegal to have a water tank some years ago? That’s extraordinary. I guess they probably used safety as an issue if that’s the case, bad water would be bad for you? Thanks for visiting and for your comments, I’ll let Charlotte know too!

Water has been hopelessly mismanaged by our so-called leaders for decades.
For years ,illegal for people to have rainwater tanks…(cant charge excessive water rates if people have their own storage of rainwater)
failure of succesive governments to build dams and increase storage as population grows (frightened they may lose the next election)

Much easier to bombard the population with copius amounts of propaganda about how we are all gunna die of thirst so , we the sheep , err I mean the people ,will be only to happy to cop huge increases to our water bills…knowing that we are helping to save our rapidliy declining precious resource NOT
