To all the mostly pleasant and eager to help fuck-ups at Telstra that I wasted 8 to 10 hours of my life with, you might like to take note of this resolution for the next poor bastard that suffers this stupid problem..
The story started here, and I was going to do an update but I think another post is worthy given my disappointment. So as I said in part one of this story, the technician was to arrive today, Saturday, between midday and 500pm. I was told this by BigPond Accounts area and the Technical area.
So I call technical services, blah blah blah, she says I need to speak to accounts, I get them and the guy says, what the technical girl said, there’s a technician coming on Saturday who will install a modem that will work. So fuck it, I have to wait another couple of days and now have to be home for the technician on the Saturday, which is somewhat inconvenient. I asked the accounts guy who I can call to escalate if it does not work on Saturday, I asked to be able to speak to the people that would help the Premier or the Prime Minister if they had trouble. He assured me they have no special persons service, and if that’s true, then they’re stupid because if you’re good enough to become Prime Minister there should be someone who will drop everything and sort your internet shit out.
